Take a walk through the famed Kangra valley/ Palampur Tea Estates which imparted the place its well-deserved title of “Tea Capital of North India”. Kangra tea has been internationally acclaimed at conventions held in London and Amsterdam & is known for its unique color and flavor. The Chinese hybrid variety grown here produces a very pale liquor, which is the reason why Kangra does not produce any CTC (crushed, turned, curled) tea—the staple tea of India. Following this walk will be a visit to the Tea Factory to understand the nuances of making that perfect cup of green tea followed by a detailed tea tour organized by host.

Our next stop is an art gallery named after a Sikh painter- SardarSobha Singh who had to leave Lahore at the time of Indian partition to find his new home in the lap of Himalayas. Sobha Singh studied European paintings & drew inspiration from English painters while serving his days during British Indian army. An accomplished portrait painter, some of his most impressive art works have names such as those of India's greatest revolutionary Sardar Bhagat Singh, Mahatma Gandhi & Lal Bahadur Shastri. He had profound regard to woman’s dignity and some of his beautiful paintings were those of brides depicting the folk culture of Punjab & Himachal.
