Zambezi National Park plays host to a wide variety of large mammals including the African elephant, lion, cape buffalo, and leopard. In addition to these charismatic members of the “big 5,” there are herds of sable antelope, zebra, Southern giraffe, and impala. Many species of smaller wildlife can also be seen here.
Over 400 species of birds have been recorded within the Zambezi National Park. Pel’s Fishing Owl, African Skimmer, Collared Palm-Thrush, Lanner Falcon, Goliath Heron, African Finfoot, Rock Pratincole, and Long-Toed Lapwing are considered to be among the specialties.
Each of the game drives are unique in their own way. On the morning game drive starting at 5:45 AM you will be in the park early to try and spot any predators still out on the hunt. You will enjoy a light breakfast with tea, coffee and soft drinks.
The afternoon game drive starts at 3:00 PM and you will be searching for animals along the river coming to cool off from the afternoon sun. You will enjoy a light snack served with an afternoon drink to cool off.
