We begin this tour of the Enryaku-ji Buddhist Temple with its gate, its East Pagoda and the Buddha Amida Pavilion. The portal serves as a separation between the human world and the spirit world. This is an opportunity for us to "really" enter these places.

Here we are in front of the main hall, the Konpon Chudo. It is still under renovation until 2026 and it is an opportunity for us to see how a traditional Japanese building, the object of an exhibition, is being renovated. Nearby are the Hall for World Peace and the Monju-ro portal which we will then visit.
