Escape the city and reconnect with nature on this small-group day tour from Riga to Ķemeri National Park and Jūrmala.
Begin with a walk along the Ķemeri Bog Boardwalk, a raised wooden path through Latvia’s ancient wetlands. Surrounded by moss, misty pools, and pine forests, your guide will introduce you to this unique ecosystem and its ties to Latvian folklore, nature protection, and history.
Continue to the historic spa town of Ķemeri, once a favorite destination for Tsarist and Soviet elites. See the architectural remains of its sanatoriums and parks, and hear how the town is slowly regaining its former glory.
Then head to Jūrmala, Latvia’s beloved seaside resort, known for its long sandy beaches and classic wooden villas. You’ll explore:
the lively Jomas Street promenade, lined with cafés and local shops;
and the Baltic Sea coastline, where you’ll have free time to stroll along the beach or simply take in the sea air.
Bottled water is provided throughout the tour. A lunch stop in Jūrmala is included (meals are not included in the tour price). The tour returns to Riga in the afternoon.
