For 27 years, he lived alone in a hidden cabin by Johnson Lake, choosing solitude over society. Speculation surrounds his reclusive lifestyle, but investigations revealed no legal reasons for his seclusion. Billy built his cozy cabin in 1910, equipped with handmade furniture and a small stove. His only connection to the outside world was Gee Moy, who brought him supplies from the Market Garden, keeping him hidden from the bustling town. In December 1937, two local boys found Billy in distress and alerted the authorities. He was taken to an old-age home, where he later passed away. Yet, his spirit is said to linger; many claim to have spotted a ghostly figure near the cabin. Could it be Billy himself, still watching over his beloved retreat?
