Monument of Nossa Senhora da Conceição, from this place you can see the historic center of the city and the bay of Horta on one side and, on the other, Praia do Almoxarife. You can also see the neighboring Pico Island and the highest point in Portugal, Pico Mountain. On days without clouds, you can still see the island of São Jorge and Graciosa. Located in the center of the island, Caldeira is the true ex-libris of Faial. It is one of the largest volcanic craters in the Azores, which was at the origin of the island, measuring about 2000 meters in diameter, seven kilometers in perimeter and 400 meters in depth.
