What you can expect

In the mountain behind Trapani, stands a medieval village, now a city of science, rich in traditions, history, local crafts and breathtaking views. In half an hour of road that climbs up the mountain, showing views that embrace a panorama that ranges from Marsala to San Vito Lo Capo, we reach Erice Vetta. Since surrounded by walls, the village is visited on foot, entering through Trapani, where a series of small cobbled lanes will lead you to the discovery of landscapes and corners of a village really characteristic. Once called: The city of 100 churches, the tour begins with the visit of the bell tower and the cathedral to continue the journey meeting the other main churches. Entering more and more into the small village we will be able to observe the ancient art of weaving the Ericini carpets, famous all over the world and still handmade today. You can not miss a stop to taste the typical sweets of Erice and the famous Genoese. Continuing through the many narrow streets that intertwine with each other we can also observe the numerous ceramics of remarkable value hand painted with the bright colors of yellow, blue and red. Going from the Spanish quarters, we will finally reach the castle and the Pepoli tower that will give us breathtaking views.
