What you can expect

The East Coast of Uruguay is the most frequented in the summer because there are the best beaches not only in the country, but also in neighboring countries areas.
In Brazil you have to go very far, about 1,000km to the NE to reach something similar, and in Argentina you need almost the same but to the S so it's very cold to enjoy it.

Not only in summer this is interesting to do.
Probably you will not swim in the ocean in the middle of winter but you will really enjoy the natural beauties of the different places, the incredible landscapes, the endless beaches with their stories and legends.
And we are not only talking about beaches, here you can also find historical places such as the Santa Teresa Fortress or the San Miguel Fort (on the border with Brazil) that are of great heritage value.
There are from modern seaside cities like Punta del Este to small fishing villages like Valizas.
Forests of Ombúes, Palmares, Lagoons, streams, lost towns, you will know all this sector of the country up to the border city of Chui, which is the limit with Brazil.

Along the way we will make all the stops that you like depending on what interests you the most, you will even have the possibility of going through a stream by boat, or riding a horse.

The accommodation options at night will be decided by you depending on the degree of comfort you want, I offer you the different options of each place and you choose.
They can be from simple hostels or private houses that receive guests, to 4 or 5 star hotels it all depends on you.
The costs of these places range from US$25 per person to US$150 a night.
(There are also places, mostly country establishments, that charge up to a little more becouse they include all meals of the day since they are far from everything, but since we will be on the move I do not think it is the case for this ride)

My recommendation is to spend the first night in Punta del Este, the second night in Cabo Polonio, and the third night in Punta del Diablo.
In this way, in the 3 points they will have the option they like, in addition to being the places where the nights will be enjoyed more due to their characteristics.
There will be good and varied restaurants or typical homemade food.

We will travel and visit the entire East coast of the country and its surroundings such as lagoons and National Parks.
The limit will be the border with Brazil, in the city of Chui.
This city is characterized by being a very important commercial center both on the Brazilian and Uruguayan sides with free shops.
The city is divided in 2 by a street, Av. Internacional where on one side you are in Brazil and on the other in Uruguay and you can cross freely.
