Day 1:
Your tour begins as you depart from your hotel before taking the Roman Road towards Tataouine. You will soon arrive in Chahbania, where you will take a short photo break at this famous salt lake. Afterwards, you will arrive in Tataouine, which was famously a former French prison. Whilst there, you will take a small tour in which you will visit the market as well as the city center.
Next, you will continue to Guermessa, a village which is surmounted by a rocky ridge and is completed by an old mosque. You will then enjoy lunch in a typical restaurant, before taking a guided tour of the Berber village of Chenini. There will then be the possibility of a 2-hour walking tour (at your choice) to reach the “gîte”, which is located in the neighboring village of Douiret. At the conclusion of your first day, you will spend the night in a cave room.
Day 2:
After a gentle awakening, it will be time for breakfast. You will depart via the stony tracks of the Reg, which have been marked by the presence of shepherds roaming the pasture lands. You will then continue to the oasis of Ksar Ghilane, a small paradise in the middle of the desert with a hot spring for swimming. At the spring there will also be the possibility of a quad escapade (at an extra cost) to reach the Roman fort which is surrounded by dunes. You can also choose to take an excursion on the back of a camel, before enjoying lunch on site.
Afterwards, you will depart to the Zmela camp (or similar) where you will have free time to enjoy the sunset. You will later enjoy dinner and a Saharan “vigil”, before spending the night in a tent.
Day 3:
Following breakfast, you will depart for Matamata. After a short time on the road, you will take a break at the Berber village of Tamazret. Once there, you can visit a cave house in Matmata where you will be able to have lunch at the inhabitant's house. You will then visit the oldest Star Wars set in Tunisia, before continuing towards Toujene, a village on the slope of the mountain. At the conclusion of your tour, you will return to Djerba via the ferry.
