This tour was absolutely amazing!!! Our tour guide, Patricia was very friendly and knowledgable. She was also an amazing driver as she navigated the small roads of Sintra and the traffic of Caiscas. She customized the trip based on our needs and also suggested a great place to eat in Sintra. She was very quick to respond before the trip and also showed up early on the day of the trip. Highly recommend to anyone!

There is a lot of ground to cover on this tour but Paula did a great job. Being a local from her youth, she shared wonderful stories of growing up there. I would definitely recommend touring Pena Palace as well as walking at least part of the walls of the Moorish Castle. The old town is lovely and we enjoyed our "pillows," a local puff pastry at Piriquita. Beautiful views from Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point in Europe.

We had an amazing day, thanks mostly to our guide Leo! Such a beautiful area. I’d recommend not going inside Pena Palace, but spending more time at Quinta de Regeleira instead. ( As this was a private tour, we were able to choose how much time we wanted to spend at each location. ) If we had more time, I’d have ask Leo take us on another tour.

Although we were quite disappointed by the rain and heavy fog, we still thoroughly enjoyed our day spent touring Sintra and Cascais with O Turista Tours. Miguel was our guide, and he was very kind and knowledgeable. He was especially considerate of my 77-year-old stepmom, making sure she was okay while walking through the sometimes steep and wet, slippery streets and providing a spare umbrella. Because Miguel is so familiar with the area (I started calling him the Mayor of Sintra because he seems to know half the people in town), we were able to see the Moorish Castle, Pena Palace, and Quinta da Regaleira (my favorite) all in one day, while also finding time for a nice lunch, ginja tasting, and a quick stop for pastries and coffee. We had arranged with O Turista for pick up and drop off at our Lisbon hotel for an extra €80, which was very convenient. On the way back to our Lisbon hotel, Miguel drove us through the charming coastal town of Cascais with stops at the lighthouse and a couple of lovely lookout points. Due to the inclement weather, this was all that we needed of Cascais, though on a sunnier day it warrants more time. With Miguel’s help, we were truly able to make the most of our one day to spend in Sintra and Cascais. I recommend both O Turista Tours and their wonderful guide, Miguel, without hesitation.

Jorge made our trip to Sintra and Cascias extra special. He is deeply knowledgeable about Portugese history and brought the stories to life. This is our first time in Portugal with our two boys, 17 and 22. Jorge made the day fun, interactive and educational. His knowledge of the history, timeline, castles, palaces, and regional areas was unmatched. We felt entirely fulfilled at the end of our trip. He was patient with us, answered all our questions and made sure to point out all important landmarks. We also stopped along the way at each destination, and he took a family photo of us…and a selfie with him! 🥰 If you’re looking for a tour when in Lisbon, 100% recommend!

We had a great time with Miguel. We booked with tickets (highly recommend), and he took care of everything. He checked in while we were in the monuments, pointed out so much on the drive, and in general gave us a ton of information on the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our day. Thank you!
