What you can expect
Doka Estate Costa Rica coffee Tour & plantation:
A day full of coffee aroma will be our reward when visiting the largest coffee plantation in Costa Rica, known as Hacienda Doka estate, located on the slopes of the Poas Volcano. Visiting this Doka coffee plantation will allow you to learn everything about the process and good practices related to this crop, as well as on our tour of the coffee farm we will observe its machinery and we will be able to discover the step by step of seed germination for the first cultivation of the plants, the process of plant development and up to the point of harvesting the mature grain, we will also learn about the history of the farm, the production and varieties of coffee plants, the geography of the area and the traditional way of farming the grain of coffee, it is very important to remember that being in the natural and cultural environment of this coffee farm will make you want to enjoy an exquisite cup of coffee while we have an exquisite typical Costa Rican breakfast.
Poas Volcano National Park:
We will head towards the beautiful POAS VOLCANO, whose main attraction is that it can be accessed to the edge of it. Not only does it have one of the largest craters in the world, but it is located in the mountainous forests of the Central Volcanic Mountains and we will be able to learn from the emanations of gases, ecosystem and vegetation. On the way to the Volcano you will be able to notice its different microclimates and the great diversity of agriculture, we will be able to observe a great variety of plantations and livestock farms at the same time that we will have a spectacular view of the Central Valley. And its crater lagoon will leave us in love with the desire to return. The complete stay in the Poas Volcano National Park will be approximately 50 minutes, which are distributed in: 10 minutes in the initial talk and information, 10 minutes walk to the viewpoint of the Volcano crater, 20 minutes of fixed stay at the viewpoint and another 10 minutes on the way back to the transport parking lot.
Gardens of the La Paz Falls:
La Paz Waterfall Gardens Natural Park is the most popular nature tour in the San José area with five famous waterfalls and the largest animal sanctuary in Costa Rica. It is by far the best place to see wildlife in Costa Rica, it is the most popular ecological attraction in Costa Rica. Lush rainforest, white flowing rivers, spectacular waterfalls, birds, butterflies, monkeys, hummingbirds, snakes, felines and frogs. At La Paz Waterfall Gardens Nature Park and Wildlife Refuge, you're guaranteed to see all that and more. At the beautiful falls, you can take beautiful photographs.
