1) Meet your guide at Obuse Station.
2) Wander through the charming streets of Obuse, guided by your expert. Uncover the secrets of Hokusai's inspiration and the town's rich history.
3) Hokusai-kan Museum: Learn about the connection between Hokusai and Obuse. Admire Hokusai's original paintings, most notably the panels that adorn the ceiling of the Higashimachi and Kanmachi festival floats.
4) Matsubaya Brewery: Discover the heart of sake-making at Matsubaya Brewery. Tour the historic brewery and savor the delicate flavors of sake, a timeless treasure.
5) Kokuhei Miso Brewery: Visit a 240-year old miso brewery and discover the method of miso-making and the crucial role of koji, a special non-toxic mold essential for both miso (and sake) production. You'll get a bonus miso souvenir!
