As the trail winds through varying altitudes, from charming villages to high mountain passes, trekkers are treated to a kaleidoscope of Bhutanese landscapes. It's imperative to acclimate to the altitude, and while some trekkers venture independently, hiring a local guide can enhance the experience by providing cultural insights and ensuring safety. A fascinating element to the Dagala Trek is the opportunity to see a variety of bird species and blue sheep, which adds to the experience of seeing wildlife beyond only lakes.
