Overview

Port Dickson began history as a small Malay village inhabited by fishermen and traders. It was originally called 'Arang'; named after a local coal mine. During the colonial era, a British official named Sir Frederic Dickson turned Arang (Charcoal) into a port for transporting the rich tin ore deposits. The town was renamed Port Dickson (after the official) and became a busy, railway-linked harbour.
Just an hour away from Kuala Lumpur, Port Dickson has a lot of places to see and is a favourite among Malaysians who want to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. You be able to refresh your self before your next activities. Note: You have a choice to remain at Teluk Kemang until 5.30pm or go to PD World Marina and try your luck at fishing.
