What you can expect
On this tour you can visit one of the most remote places of the Inca empire. You can also enjoy delicious food prepared by the residents themselves.
Day 1: Cusco – Cachora – Chiquisqa
Our tour begins with pickup from Plaza Regocijo, which is located next to the main square at 6:30 am.
The transportation will take us approximately 3 and a half hours to the archaeological park of Saywite, in this place we can see a stone carved by the Incas where they designed many miniature architectures as a model, there are also more ceremonial centers.
Then we will continue for 1 more hour until we reach the town of Cachora, Capuliyoc, where we will enjoy our lunch with a view of the Apurímac Canyon and the snowy Padreyoc. Then we will begin to descend for approximately 3 hours. Passing by the Cocamasana de Chuquisqa viewpoints, where we will have dinner and spend the night in a rural accommodation.
Day 2: Chuquisqa - Santa Rosa – Marampata
This day we will start very early with breakfast, and then continue descending for 1 hour to the Rosalina beach bridge (Apurímac River), passing the bridge we will begin to climb for approximately 1 hour and a half. to Santa Rosa.
After having a rest we will continue climbing for approximately 3 and a half hours. to the town of Marampata, where we will have lunch and in the afternoon you will have free time. In this place you can see the sunset, we will also spend the night and have dinner in this place.
Day 3: Marampata – Choquequirao – Chiquisqa
This day we will make the most of it, we will have breakfast and then head to Choquequirao for approximately an hour and a half.
Upon arrival we will visit all this wonderful place. Lunch will be a box lunch in Choquequirao that will be brought by our muleteer. In the afternoon we will return to Marampata and spend the night there.
Day 4: Chuquisqa – Capuliyoc – Cusco
This day we will start very early, we will descend for about two hours to Santa Rosa where we will have breakfast; We continue walking for another hour and a half to the Rosalina beach bridge where we will take some time for photographs and rest.
Then we will begin to climb to Chuquisqa where we will have lunch, in the afternoon we continue with our walk to Capuliyoc for approx. 3 hours.
At this point our walk and this great trip ends. We will be returning to the city of Cusco on a 4-hour trip.
