After pickup from your hotel from Tunis or Hammamet, begin your tour with a visit to the Archaeological Museum of Nabeul. Known as Neapolis in ancient times, the city of Nabeul was founded in the 5th century BC. Although the museum is modest in size, it boasts an impressive collection of mosaics and rare artifacts from various archaeological sites in the Cape Bon region, having been renovated in 2003.
Next, head to Kelibia to explore its fortress, one of the most significant monuments in Cape Bon. Built on a massive rock 150 meters high, it is the largest and best-preserved Muslim fortress in Tunisia. Continue to the ruins of Kerkouane, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These artificial caves were dug by prisoners and slaves under the Carthaginians and Romans, with the extracted stone blocks shipped by sea to Carthage on the other side of the Gulf of Tunis.
