Towering on the crest of a basalt rock, Castle Braunfels greets visitors from afar. This cultural monument has been in the hands of noble lineage for 800 years. Rich in unique artifacts, the castle is still inhabited by the family today.

Our Castle Tour allows visitors to explore the most beautiful chambers of the vast castle grounds and its princely collection. The tour starts in the impressive courtyard with its high towers and beautiful roses in summer before reaching up to the romantic Knight’s Hall with its armor and weaponry of tournament, war, and hunting from the 13th to the 19th century.

After 14 magnificently furnished rooms with precious paintings, the tour ends on the Kanonenplatz with its heavy bronze canons from the 16th century.
