Upon arrival to Braga, the oldest village in Portugal, visit the gorgeous sanctuary Bom Jesus de Braga, set at 1,312 feet (400 m) above sea level. Admire the beautiful landscape around you, the pleasant gardens and calm lakes.

Visit the Braga Cathedral and then wander around the historic town, where you can people-watch from any of the local coffee shops before continuing to Guimarães.

Upon arrival in Guimarães, admire the well-preserved medieval castle and explore the UNESCO World Heritage-listed center, a shining example of a medieval town transformed.
