What you can expect

Combine the majesty of the Blue Mountains with the peace that comes with less traffic and more one-on-one time on the scenic trails of the Australian interior. This tour takes you out after the morning rush, offering you some extra time to sleep in without missing the incredible landscape that awaits.

The journey takes you away from the coast and into Blue Mountains National Park, one of Australia's best-known regions thanks to its natural beauty and a wide array of plant life. Start exploring with a bush walk that gives you a look over the spectacular Jamison Valley on your way to one of the grandest waterfalls in the country, and check out the views of giant eucalyptus trees among the sandstone cliffs. The walk is approx 1,5 hours on uneven surfaces and requires a moderate fitness level.

Along the way, your guide describes how the mountains got their name and explains the region's importance to Australia's Aboriginal people, whose creation-time stories often link back to locations within the park. You can stop at one of the area's authentic country towns in the afternoon before capping off the journey with a visit to the iconic rock pillars of the 3 Sisters, plus an incredible vantage point where you can admire the changing colors of sunset. Keep an eye out for the unique wildlife that comes out in the evening before you start the journey back to Sydney.

A moderate to advanced level of fitness is required to complete hikes to lookout views and stairs down and back from Wentworth Falls (approximately 8 flights of stairs, 90-minute walk).
