What you can expect
Tour all of Vancouver on one easy-going and safe bicycle tour. Get a personal introduction to the city from one of our knowledgeable and fun guides.
Start your experience at Spokes Bicycle Rentals to get fitted on a bike that is well suited for your height. Your guide will give you a brief safety orientation including a short preview of the tour and an opportunity to introduce the group. A great hidden benefit to this tour is meeting other like-minded travelers from around the world.
We start the tour in Vancouver's largest playground, Stanley Park. Your guide has the best route to see every highlight in an efficient manner, including the Stanley Park Totem Poles, Beaver Lake, the largest Old Growth Maples, and Second Beach.
Next, is a cruise along the longest uninterrupted Sea wall, past English Bay Beach to a special inclusion; a False Creek Ferry Ride. We take our bikes onto a ferry across the beautiful False Creek which is a perfect opportunity for a rest and picture taking.
The ferry takes us to the bustling Granville Island. Get a few personal recommendations from your guide on where to return to as this tour won't be responsible for guests getting lost in excitement. Between the Public Market, Net Loft, and Artists' Studios it would take a full day to see it all.
The bike ride is perfect along separated bike lanes that wind along the beautiful ocean. This section is called False Creek and Vancouver's skyline is perfect for a few well-planned stops for picture taking. It leads to Olympic Village and Mount Pleasant one of our companies favourite hidden gems of the city.
After a stop in what some call hipster village, we cruise into Chinatown, seeing a unique perspective of a bustling city. With a rich culture imbedded into the area, you'll have definitely have a few takeaways to discuss later. Right beside this neighbourhood is Vancouver's most talked about area, Gastown.
You'll get to bump along cobblestone streets; it's a lot smoother than you think. This area has a beautiful contrast of old and new mixed into a simple European feel. The highlight is the Gastown Steam Clock and your guide will be prepared to share all of it's unique features. On a rare occasion you might even meet the maker of the clock himself, it's happened before, and can happen again.
Gastown leads us into the newest and ritziest area, Coal Harbour, where ocean meets glitz and glam. This is one of the densest areas in North America, and once you've experienced it, you'll understand why. Before you know it, you're guide will take a turn and you'll be right back where you started. In the heart of the west end on Denman Street.
Exchange ideas, and recommendations and be sure to leave your guide a detailed review! We're excited to hear all about it.
