Shiraito Falls (Pass by)
This is a rare waterfall in Japan where hot spring water flows out and forms a cascade. During the eruption of Mt. Adatara, lava was pushed out, creating a cliff. The hot spring water that springs from the old sulfur mine mixes with the sulfur river, flowing down as a single waterfall. Its appearance, resembling strands of white or silk threads, is how it got its name.
