Located in the region of Thessaly, right in the center of Greece, embark on a journey to discover the 6 active and accessible monasteries, visit 3 of them to get a glimpse of the old frescoes and the Christian architecture and get a taste of why thousands of people consider Meteora one of the most magnificent places to be!
Last but not least important, witness the hermit caves and their purpose in the past, which are the things that played a vital role for a long time, alongside with designated photo stops that will make sure you get the complete experience for the unique tour throughout the stone forest of Meteora!

Start from Larissa Station, the central train station of Athens, where you will board the train that will take you to Kalambaka. The train departs at 07:58 AM. At approximately 10:45 AM, the train will stop at Paleofarsalos, where you will need to get off and take the connecting bus that will continue the journey to Kalambaka.

Upon arrival at the Kalambaka train station you will meet your tour guide who will be holding a sign with your name on it. Please note that your transfer from Athens (Larisis railway station) to Palaiofarsalos railway station is by train, but from Palaiofarsalos to Kalambaka the transfer is temporarily by an elevated air-conditioned bus of Hellenic Train.

Throughout the tour, there will also be an optional food break of about 30 minutes where you can enjoy traditional greek food, before continuing the road to the monasteries. Finally, the tour ends around 4:45, you will have a break of 20-25 minutes before your bus arrives at the train station and your day ends around 22:00 with your return to Athens.
