Departing from Arbatax, you will cross breathtaking landscapes as far as Villagrande Strisaili, skirting the suggestive Bau Muggeris lake before entering the majestic Gennargentu massif, an oasis of wild nature. You will admire the Nuraghe Ruinas at an altitude of 1,200 metres and, with an expert guide, you will discover the Girgini Forest and the picturesque village of Desulo with its characteristic murals. For lunch, an authentic experience awaits you: a traditional meal prepared by shepherds in a typical sheepfold, where you will enjoy fresh local produce.
The day will continue with a scenic stop at Erba Irdes, at 1700 metres, to admire a spectacular panorama over Barbagia.

Itinerary
Departure towards Villagrande Strisaili, skirting Lake Bau Muggeris and then continuing into the Gennargentu massif.
Short stop at the Nuraghe Ruinas and continuation towards the Girgini Forest.
Stop for an hour in Desulo and visit the village and its murals, with the possibility of visiting the Museum of Traditional Costumes.
Lunch in a Sardinian sheepfold.
After lunch, in the afternoon, we continue to the ‘Erba Birdes’ panoramic trail.

Lunch
The typical lunch at a sheepfold of local shepherds includes a menu that may vary depending on the availability of ingredients.
The meal includes four to eight earthy appetisers, such as cold meats, cheeses and vegetables, followed by a mixed grill of meat, accompanied by wine and water. Solutions for allergies or intolerances are not available.
