During the winter months, we will go to Glendalough and the Wicklow Mountains first and Kilkenny City in the afternoon.

Enjoy a guided tour of the charming city of Kilkenny, travel through the countryside and traipse through the rugged Wicklow Mountains, and explore the glacial valley of Glendalough. Here you can visit a medieval monastery and make your way to the glistening Upper Lake surrounded by green slopes.

Leave your hotel in Dublin behind as you climb aboard a comfortable coach and head to the town of Kilkenny. Embark on a walking tour that leads you through narrow and winding cobblestone streets, passing under medieval arches as you explore the town’s castle and idyllic squares. Learn about the storied history of this city from your guide and then feel free to wander around at your leisure.

Next, head toward the Wicklow Mountains, where lush green pastures in gentle valleys transform into dramatic glacial valleys. Explore Glendalough, an ancient settlement home to St. Kevin's monastery, founded in the 6th century. Stroll through the cathedral and the priest’s house, before moving onward to Upper Lake, a stunning bright-blue body of water nestled between gently-sloping mountains. We will continue to Annamoe where you get the unique chance to experience a Shepard at work with his best friend the Border Collie Sheep Dog. As your day comes to an end, drive back through the picturesque Irish countryside on your return to Dublin.
