What you can expect

Day 1: Transfer from Entebbe/Kampala to Kibale National Park
Begin your journey with a 5-6 hour drive from Entebbe or Kampala to Kibale Forest National Park. After arriving, check in at Kibale Forest Lodge, then relax and enjoy your evening. Kibale is famous for its habituated chimpanzees, plus other primates, birds, and butterflies.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
In the morning, set out on a forest walk for chimpanzee tracking. After lunch, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park (2-3 hours), check into Irungu Safari Lodge, and head out for an evening game drive across the savannah plains.

Day 3: Game Drive & Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park
Start with an early morning game drive for wildlife spotting, followed by a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel to view water animals and various bird species. Later, transfer to Bwindi Forest, arriving in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Begin with a briefing on gorilla trekking at the park headquarters, then spend the day observing mountain gorillas. After your encounter, drive about 3 hours to Lake Bunyonyi, a scenic location perfect for relaxation.

Day 5: Boat Safari on Lake Bunyonyi & Transfer to Mgahinga Forest
After breakfast, take a boat ride or canoe on Lake Bunyonyi, enjoying its picturesque islands. In the afternoon, drive 2-3 hours to Kisoro, near Mgahinga Forest.

Day 6: Golden Monkey Tracking & Drive to Kigali
Following an early breakfast, head to Mgahinga Forest for an 8:00 AM briefing before tracking golden monkeys through the bamboo forest. After your encounter, enjoy lunch, then drive 3-4 hours to Kigali, Rwanda.

Day 7: Kigali City Tour & Departure
In the morning, visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial for a moving historical experience, followed by the Belgian Peacekeepers Memorial and lunch at Hotel Rwanda. Finally, transfer to the airport for your flight home.
