- Early Morning: Catch a scenic flight from Kathmandu to
Lukla, offering spectacular views of the Himalayas.
- Arrival in Lukla: Meet your trekking guide and porters,
organize gear, and begin your trek.
- Trek Highlights: Pass through small villages, rhododendron
forests, and cross the beautiful Dudh Koshi River several
times.
- Evening: Arrive in Phakding, where you can relax and
acclimatize. Overnight stay at a lodge in Phakding.
Phakding

Phakding is a small village in the Khumbu region of Nepal, situated at an altitude of 2,651 meters (8,695 feet) along the Dudh Koshi River. It’s a popular first stop for trekkers heading from Lukla toward Everest Base Camp, offering a range of cozy lodges and teahouses. Surrounded by lush forests and with views of nearby peaks, Phakding provides a peaceful setting for trekkers to rest and acclimate. The village also features several ancient monasteries and prayer wheels, giving travelers an introduction to the local Sherpa culture and Buddhist traditions.

Namche Bazaar

- Morning: Begin your trek with scenic riverside views. After
reaching Monjo, enter the Sagarmatha National Park,
where permits are checked.
- Trek Highlights: Cross the Hillary Suspension Bridge,
admire stunning views of Thamserku and Kongde Ri, and
continue to Namche Bazaar.
- Afternoon: Upon reaching Namche Bazaar, explore this
vibrant Sherpa town known for its marketplaces, bakeries,
and excellent views of Mount Everest. Overnight stay at a
lodge in Namche Bazaar.
Day 3: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche

Tengboche

famous Tengboche Monastery, one of the largest
monasteries in the Khumbu region.
- Evening: Rest and acclimatize in Tengboche. Enjoy the

Mt. Ama Dablam

more barren and rugged as you approach Dingboche.
- Afternoon: Arrive in Dingboche, a popular acclimatization
spot, where you’ll stay overnight. Explore the village or rest
in preparation for the higher altitude ahead.

The trail crosses the Imja Khola River on a suspension bridge, providing stunning views of the river gorge and surrounding mountains.
Pangboche

Day 5: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche

- Elevation: Start at 4,360 m (14,300 ft); end at 4,940 m

Itinerary:
- Morning: Head towards Lobuche with a gradual climb,
passing the Thukla Pass and a series of memorials
dedicated to climbers who perished on Everest.
- Trek Highlights: Beautiful views of Pumori, Lingtren,
Khumbutse, and Mahalangur Himal. The trek becomes
more challenging due to thinner air, but the scenery is
incredibly rewarding.
- Evening: Arrive in Lobuche and settle in for the night to
prepare for the next day's trek to Everest Base Camp.
Dughla
After leaving Dingboche, trekkers reach Dughla Pass, a high point adorned with memorials and prayer flags commemorating climbers who lost their lives on Everest. The pass offers panoramic views and serves as a reflective spot for many.
Pumori
Along the way, trekkers enjoy sweeping views of iconic peaks like Pumori (7,161 meters) which looms over the valley and offers stunning photography opportunities.
Khumbu Glacier

Gorakshep

It is the last stop for trekkers before reaching Everest Base Camp, making it a popular resting point for those on the final leg of the trek. Gorak Shep is set in a barren, high-altitude landscape near the Khumbu Glacier, surrounded by iconic Himalayan peaks like Pumori, Nuptse, and, in the distance, Everest itself. Facilities are basic, with teahouses providing essential lodging and meals, as well as a gathering place for climbers and trekkers to share their experiences.
