This full-day guided tour takes you to the tectonic rift valley at Þingvellir National Park, the bubbling geothermal area of Geysir where Strokkur geyser erupts every few minutes, and the majestic Gullfoss waterfall, often framed by sparkling winter ice. We start the day at Þingvellir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Next, we stop by the black sand beach at Reynisfjara to view the geological formation and the smashing waves. Be careful not to step too close as the waves can be dangerous.

Before heading back to Reykjavík, we visit Vík í Mýrdal, a seafront village that sits in the shadow of Mýrdalsjökull glacier, which covers the Katla volcano. Drive back to Reykjavík is about 3 hours with some stops on the way.
