Best of Rajasthan including Taj Mahal is a 5 day 4 nights tour from Delhi, where we start at Agra to admire the Taj Mahal, arguably the world’s most beautiful monument and the old city of Fatehpur Sikhri. We then proceed to Rajasthan to explore the Pink city of Jaipur, the blue city of Jodhpur, Ranakpur with its magnificent Jain temple and Udaipur the city of floating Palaces. Over the 5 we would have relived the times of the Rajput Maharajas and their grand life style in spectacular Palaces, impregnable forts and beautiful temples.

630AM- We leave Delhi and drive towards Agra. 10AM- The Taj Mahal They say that there are two kinds of people in this world. Those who have seen the Taj Mahal and those who haven’t! Today we will experience the the world’s most recognizable and beautiful man-made structure. Over the course of this tour we will talk about many mysteries and hidden secrets about the Taj Mahal. Like the other Taj Mahal which was to be built with black marble adjacent to the White wonder! Towards the end of this visit you will have consensus on the fact that no other entity in this world personifies eternal love better than the Taj Mahal!
Fatehpur Sikri

We head to Fatehpur Sikri, the magnificent ancient city near Agra built by Akbar, the great Mughal Emperor. The speciality of Fatehpur Sikri is that it is the best preserved heritage site form the Mughal Era. Akbar was inspired by his ancestor Timur’s Persian Courts and this was reflected in the Persian design principles of Fatehpur Sikri. The Red Sandstone structures also reflect elements from Hindu and Jain styles of Architecture. Diwan-i-Am, Diwan-i-Khas, Panch Mahal, Buland Darwaza and Jama Masjid are the highlights of Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri remained the capital of Mughals for only 10 years after which Akbar moved to Lahore.

Possibly the most serene sight amidst the chaos of Jaipur is the beautiful Jal Mahal Jaipur, the Water Palace. This low-rise symmetrical palace, that once was a shooting lodge for the Maharajah, appears to float in the centre of Sagar Lake. The light sand coloured stone walls of the Jal Mahal Jaipur are at a stark contrast to the deep blue of the waters of the lake.
Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind

Built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1798, Hawa Mahal is a five-storey extension in the form of a honeycomb. This unique building has 953 small windows, called jharokas, decorated with intricate lattice work. The entire palace represents the crown of the Hindu God, Lord Krishna. Even though this palace was built during ancient times, it reflects the scientific vision of Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in a distinct way. The windows of this palace have been designed in such a way that irrespective of the time or season of the year, cool breeze always persists inside the palace.
City Palace of Jaipur

The palace was constructed by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. As most structures in Jaipur this palace also reflects the fusion of Mughal and Rajput architecture. We will get to see gardens, buildings and courtyards, temple and a museum.

Mehrangarh Fort

Mehrangarh is one of the most spectacular forts in India. It is perched in an impregnable rock at 120 metres above the ground. It was built in 1438 by Rao Jodha, the founder of the city of Jodhpur. Some scenes in the Hollywood movie “The Dark Knight Rises” were shot in this fort!

City Palace of Udaipur

A 2 hour drive will bring us to Udaipur. The City Palace was built in 1559 AD by Maharana Udai Singh to commemorate the new capital of Udaipur. The present Palace is a contribution from many Kings of the Mewar dynasty over the last 400 years. The Palace is a blend of medieval European and traditional Indian architectural styles. It’s a magnificent experience exploring this Palace built with granite and marble with its numerous towers, domes and arches.
