What you can expect

Embark on a 3-day exploration of the wild landscapes and breathtaking natural beauty of the American Southwest. Explore red rock canyons and water-carved sandstone ravines as you crisscross Arizona and Nevada in search of landmarks like Monument Valley, Horseshoe Bend, and Antelope Canyon.

Day 1 Hop aboard your bus and watch the urban glitz of Vegas disappear as you ride out into the Mojave Desert, crossing the Colorado Plateau on the historic Route 66. Arrive in Sedona—the Jewel of the Desert—and feel the energy of the place as you drive through Oak Creek Canyon beneath sheer 2,000-foot (620-m) cliffs. Stop at a viewpoint to snap pictures, take a dip in the waters of Oak Creek at Slide Rock State Park if you'd like, and visit iconic Sedona formations like Cathedral Rock, Bell Rock, and Courthouse Butte before heading to Sedona to check into your hotel for the night.

Day 2 Fuel up at the hotel's continental breakfast before setting off in the direction of Monument Valley, where dramatic sandstone buttes, mesas, and towers rise up to 1,000 feet (300 m) from the valley floor. Hop in a Jeep for a tour led by members of the Navajo nation, stopping for a barbecue lunch before continuing on to Horseshoe Bend, a spectacular site where the Colorado River loops in a semi-circular meander. Take a postcard-worthy photo from the lookout point, and then head to Lake Powell to check into your hotel in Page.

Day 3 We start the day where “The water runs through the rocks” as per the local Navajo folklore. We tour the lower Antelope Canyon and visit the spectacular dunes created by the wind, water and sand; words are not enough to describe these formations created by Mother Nature. After a lunch break, visit the Valley of Fire, where the red rocks glow in the light of the late afternoon sun and you can almost imagine dinosaurs roaming the desert sands. Arrive back in Vegas in the early evening.
