Activity itinerary

Ahu Nau Nau
  • 30m
Platform on the beach of Hanga Rau o te Ariki (Anakena) that has 7 moai on its surface, revealing the greatness of the Rapa Nui culture. We will also be able to see Ahu Ature Huki, restored by the Rapa Nui community in the 1950s.
Anakena Beach
  • 30m
Paradisiaca Beach chosen as one of the most beautiful in the world. Its real name is Hanga Rau o te Ariki, where the first king of Rapa Nui landed. Here was the capital of the ancient Rapa Nui society. We remember that this stop is focused on history and archeology. In any case, if time and weather permit, you can enjoy a swim on this wonderful beach.
Ahu Tongariki (Pass by)
The largest platform (ahu) in Polynesia in which there are 15 upright moai with their backs to the ocean.
Rano Raraku (Pass by)
Moai factory with approximately 400 specimens. where it is possible to appreciate their construction technique. Many Moai are still embedded in the volcanic rock and others are distributed in the parking area. Here, Ko te Tokanga stands out, the largest Moai sculpted on Rapa Nui.
Ahu Akivi

Akivi is an Ahu with seven Moai facing the ocean in the direction of somewhere in the Polynesian triangle. Originally they called it Ahu Atiu and it is more than 500 years old.
Ahu Tahai
  • 30m
  • Admission ticket not included
This archaeological site has three impressive ceremonial platforms: Ko Te Riku, Tahai and Vai Uri. This place, key in contemporary ceremonies, is one of the oldest inhabited areas. Adding to its historical importance, Tahai houses the tomb of William Mulloy, an American archaeologist who made important contributions. Tahai stands out for its fascinating view, harmonious environment, and the relaxing sound of the sea that create the perfect setting for those who want to take photographs of an impressive landscape.
Hanga Kioe
  • 30m
We will be able to see remains of a town with two Ahu: Ahu Akapu and Ahu Hanga Kio'e.
Orongo
  • 45m
  • Admission ticket not included
In this ceremonial village we can explore unique archaeological structures, which stand out for their flagstone houses, with a unique style throughout the island, and their petroglyphs, which reveal the cultural connection of the island with the cult of the birdman. This site has a strategic location on the top of the Rano Kau volcano and offers panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and its motu (islets), the site where the “Hopu Manu” (protagonist of the “Taŋata Manu” competition) swam. Discover the fascinating history of Oroŋo and the cultural importance that surrounds it.
Ahu Te Pito Kura
  • 25m
  • Admission ticket not included
It houses the outstanding Moai Paro, the largest successfully transferred from the Rano Raraku quarry to its ahu. Although it lay demolished almost two centuries ago, this moai is a milestone in the history of statues, with a height of 10 meters and an estimated weight of more than 80 tons. The gigantic pukao, almost 2 meters high and weighing about 10 tons, located in front of the moai, also stands out as one of the largest headdresses from Puna Pau. According to stories from sailors, this was one of the last Ahu with its moai erected.
Puna Pau
  • 25m
  • Admission ticket not included
Puna Pau is home to a red slag quarry, called Hani-Hani, which was crucial to the Rapa Nui. This soft and easy-to-carve material was used to create small statues, and among other things: the famous Pukao that crowned some Moai.
Rano Kau
  • 20m
It is the largest volcano and one of the most impressive natural settings that can be found in Rapa Nui. The feeling of immensity and silence, only interrupted by the wind, the distant noise of the waves and the occasional squawking of seabirds, makes Rano Kau one of the favorite and unmissable places on this island.
Ahu Vinapu
  • 30m
  • Admission ticket not included
It is a ceremonial complex that has a unique platform built with large basalt slabs, which suggests a possible connection with the Inca empire. It includes two ceremonial platforms, Ahu Tahira and Ahu Vinapū. Although some structures were damaged during tribal conflicts in the 18th century, the site preserves ruins of a third, older ahu.
Ahu Vaihu
  • 30m
  • Admission ticket not included
Showing the consequences of the statues being torn down due to conflicts between clans, this site offers a fascinating insight into the history of Rapa Nui. This site also has the Puku Manu Mea interpretation center, which allows visitors to learn what the domestic settlements were like, being able to enter and touch the buildings.
