The staff was uniformly pleasant and attentive. My room was large and close to the pool.For some reason it was cleaned/restocked only once in 5 nights. I did not complain because I had enough towels. Food was ho hum the first 2 days, but once more guests arrived it changed to very nice and varied. Also some entertainment started. All in all it was a good experience.

Worst hotel I have ever been. Don't trust the pictures property is very old and unmaintained. All the guests had problems getting into their rooms because of old door locks. For plumbing issues they shut off water overnight then no hot water for my entire stay. They did not clean my room. Every time I ordered a drink they put a dirty glass in front of me with lipstick marks. Their food is disgusting I got food poisoning. When I brought these issues to their manager Urbano Valdivia he called me a liar and tried to intimidate me.
STAY AWAY!

Dear Ashkan, I am sorry for not fulfilling your expectations.Regarding the plumbing issues, we shut off the water to install two pumps to improve the quickness of the hot water service, and we got it.Regarding the food, we did not receive any other complaints from our guests regarding this issue. The Posada Real is a place that you feel at home when you first enter the lobby. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We are definitely going back.

Location was nice. Pool and beach were nice. Property was clean. The property is a bit dated and the beds were hard and horrible. Overall a decent experience but certainly not the 4* hotel that Expedia advertised.

If you want a vacation away from the hussle and bussle, but right on the beach with a great swimming pool, then this is the place. Danya on the front desk is beyond patient and helpful with all your needs. Our daily cleaner, Antonia, is also always cheerful and again, helpful with little needs. The Activity directors are not pushy, but try hard to get you invovled in their activities. We only take breakfast here as there are lots of restaurants within walking distance. The local bus, the Urbano, stops on the road at the entrance and takes you downtown. The hotel may be old, one of the first on the beachfront, but they are constantly upgrading it. The Internet is very good. You can ask for a room with a small fridge to keep your libations cool! We will always return to stay here.
