Maya Caribe is a Dos Playas Hotel; I don’t know why it’s called as a separate hotel it is basically one building from four. ( 3 named as Dos Playas and one Maya Caribe) one reception and all amenities for both.
Overall it is solid 3 star hotel. So if you choose btw two hotels there is no difference except the price and Maya building has renovated rooms and not renovated.
What I liked is that there are Sushi all day from 12 - 6 pm; pizza and hot dogs/hamburgers and drinks all day.
Lunch and Dinner I would say solid 3.7-4 star.
Good staff which can help with any needs ( just don’t forget tips if you liked the service). We had AC broken so they fixed it quick without any problems or delays.
There are bus station on the left R-1 which can deliver you to the city center just for 12 Mexican pesos (0.5USD)
When you go to the airport you can order Uber right to the hotel for around 30 USD.
Overall it’s good 3 star hotel for good price.

The hotel is clean and comfortable to stay. The staff are friendly, respectful and accomodating to our needs. The restaurant has great Mexican selections of foods and the servers are friendly and helpful. Our most favorite server is Lupe! He is awesome!
We will definitely stay at Dos Playas again on our next vacation to Mexico!

Solid 3* hotel with the nicest staff you'd ever meet. From the front desk to the beach towel guy and restaurant - everyone wanted to help and make your stay pleasant!

Pro: Was close to downtown.
Con: Property was not clean enough, mold could be seen in the shower, roaches and windows had gaps that let rain water into the room. The food had no variety.

I typically don’t leave reviews at hotels, but after reading the reviews at this place, I still decided to book and see for myself. Before I start, people do have to realize that this is Mexico. As a Mexican myself, you have to keep your expectations low, as this is a country of poverty. They won’t have luxury items, they won’t have pristine buildings, but they do the best they can to make your stay comfortable.
with this said, the food here was absolutely amazing! They had different varieties of cuisine every single day. With the all inclusive plan, we were able to have breakfast lunch and dinner as well as snacks(burgers/pizza/hot dogs) Alcohol is included in your plan and it was awesome to be able to drink to our hearts content. The staff was absolutely amazing and catered to every need.
The bedrooms did exactly what they needed to do. The bed wan't comfortable, but at least it gave us a place to sleep on. The AC worked great in our room, especially after a long day of being in the sun. The room was clean. The TV worked well. The shower was amazing and anytime we needed anything. We would call the front desk and they would be at the room within like five minutes
if you’re looking for a place on the budget, I would definitely recommend this place. 10/10 I would come back and stay here!!

Big mistake staying here. I don’t recommend staying here. Staff will ask for your plate to serve again or cup to refill your bar drink. Staff is very rude and you’re limited to 2 drinks at the bar. You will be better off paying a couple bucks more and staying at a more decent hotel. Their entertainment was a pervert guy next to the tool checking out girls/women and making perverted remarks. The food does not have any flavor and nothing seemed fresh. The bar tender doesn’t not know how to make drinks. He had to constantly check his phone to see how it’s make when a drink was ordered. Room was very dirty and old. I got bitten by bed bugs. Again do yourself a favor and avoid this place!!!
