Best sundown with a view on the Matterhorn. Great location a few minutes to the lift. Clean and everything easy.

Awesome Zermatt hotel
Posted 5 Jun 2024 on HotelsThe hotel is a gem in Zermatt. We had a wonderful room and it’s a little ways from the center of town in a quiet section with a perfect view of the Matterhorn. It’s great for families and the staff is very friendly! We will be back.

Family run hotel on the hillside above Zermatt
Posted 4 Feb 2024 on HotelsA family run hotel with terrific views of the Matterhorn. Electric shuttle picked us up and dropped us off at the train station on arrival/departure. A free local bus allowed access to downtown but service ended at about 7:30PM and the walk back would be pretty uphill and take half an hour. Alternatively taxis are available but we were told they can be quite expensive. We were able to ski out and ski most of the way back. Beginner skiers would struggle to do so. The hotel has a restaurant and there are a couple others you can walk to from the hotel. The room was modern but quite small. It had a coffee/tea service which was nice. The balcony had a Matterhorn view. We booked our stay to include the morning breakfast. I would recommend this as there aren't a lot of nearby alternatives. The breakfast buffet offered a nice selection of options and the staff was very nice. There is a ski storage room to safely leave your gear over night. There is a spa building but we only did a single hot tub which we found to be a bit lukewarm. You can book spa treatments and massages, but we didn't do any so I can't speak to the quality or price. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again in the future.
