The staff were all amazing, friendly and helpful. A beautiful old building in a fantastic spot, 5 mins walk from the train station and 5 mins to the picturesque town centre.

Excellent location. Room had a gorgeous view of the lake. Staff were extremely helpful. Had a wonderful stay.

Staff was phenomenal and so very helpful. Lake & property location was great. Brewery and cafe open/service times were limited and somewhat confusing. Our room was clean and beds were comfortable. No air conditioning, which we knew about, so we brought fans and were also supplied with fans but am uncertain if this is normal or our room just happened to have some fans left in it. Biggest issue was that the train runs directly next to the hotel and is quite loud since we needed to leave our doors and windows wide open at night in order to cool our room enough to sleep. We were able to get some sleep with 5 fans going, 2 noise machines and ear plugs. It’s a beautiful setting with great staff and clean rooms but if you’re a light sleeper who requires coolness to sleep, this might not be the best option for you.

Air conditioning needs to requested separately and is not included in the Expedia quoted rate
We had two fans in the room and a door that opened to the lake and we were comfortable as we were only in the room after sunset.
The dining was excellent.

Wonderful hotel with great staff
Posted 11 Aug 2024 on HotelsFabulous location , wonderful hotel . Very comfortable beds, superb food , we booked half board ,which even included afternoon snacks. Only thing to criticise in our room ( we booked a superior double with sea view ) was the shower, very small and the shower head not fixed properly and making it difficult to shower, we called maintainence, but it wasn’t fixed . Trains regularly going past the hotel also very noisy during the night

Beautiful hotel on lake
Posted 2 Aug 2024 on HotelsLovely hotel, staff amazing, direct access to lake for swimming in summer. Only let down is no air conditioning in rooms, just fans so quite warm at night.
