We loved staying at the Grand Hotel. The staff were gracious, professional, yet friendly. Food in the dining room was excellent. We particularly enjoyed all the choices for breakfast. Our room looked onto the lake. Spectacular view.
Wonderful position on the lake. Beautiful hotel. BUT NO AIRCON AND IT WAS TOO HOT TO SLEEP. It would be the perfect place to stay if the rooms were air conditioned. Such a beautiful hotel but being unable to sleep was a major let down
Comfortable bed. Not great air conditioning but it was cooler while we were there so we kept the window open for much of the time. The restaurants with music could be heard until 10pm.

Fantastic on all levels, especially the dining - will return!
Excellent breakfast options, amazing 5 course dinners as well as afternoon snacks, just what you needed after a day skiing. Grand spa area was fantastic treatment for post ski recovery. Absolutely loved our stay at the Grand best location.
The staff were all amazing, friendly and helpful. A beautiful old building in a fantastic spot, 5 mins walk from the train station and 5 mins to the picturesque town centre.
Wonderful stay with great staff. Bruno in the dining room was an exceptional waiter with great attention to detail. We will definitely be recommending The Grand Hotel to our friends!
Beautiful location and room. Really pleased with our stay. Big size lake view room. Service was really good. Breakfast and dinner were both great and waiting staff were amazing. Reception staff was very helpful and friendly.
Lovely stay. Friendly welcome, easy check-in. One of our party upgraded at check-in (not me, it's never me, lol). Beautiful rooms overlooking the gorgeous lake. The half-board option was very good value for money. Very short stroll to the bars (incl Crazy Daisy's which is literally a stones throw away) and Christmas market. I'll definitely stay there again when the opportunity arises.
We had an incredible stay at the Grand Hotel. Fantastic service with friendly, knowledgeable, helpful reception staff, beautiful facilities, beautiful views, delicious food. Perfect location to explore Zell am See and enjoy the lake. Loved the complementary paddleboat and bicycle options. A really special treat, we felt completely spoiled and the hotel is absolutely gorgeous, as are the spectacular mountains around Zell am See, jaw-dropping, 'Wow'!

Air conditioning needs to requested separately and is not included in the Expedia quoted rate
We had two fans in the room and a door that opened to the lake and we were comfortable as we were only in the room after sunset.
The dining was excellent.
Fabulous location , wonderful hotel . Very comfortable beds, superb food , we booked half board ,which even included afternoon snacks. Only thing to criticise in our room ( we booked a superior double with sea view ) was the shower, very small and the shower head not fixed properly and making it difficult to shower, we called maintainence, but it wasn’t fixed . Trains regularly going past the hotel also very noisy during the night

The most exclusive Middle East hotel from Austria!
The hotel itself is excellent with optimum access to the lake. The hotel employees are dedicated and professional.
We will not go back there because most guests are from the Middle East. It's like being in Dubai but in Austria.
One day, this hotel will have to choose its clientele.
What a wonderful hotel! Beautiful historic building in a stunning location with wonderful facilities, food and fantastic staff. I received a free upgrade and had a huge wellness room with an in room sauna and a stunning balcony overlooking the lake. The half board was such great value with a lovely 2 course mid afternoon snack, fabulous 5 course gourmet dinner and wonderful breakfast spread. They even dropped me off at the station as it was snowing. Lovely staff throughout the hotel, and great spa and pool facilities. Highly recommended, I will definitely be back!

A bit of emperor's new clothes situation going on here. Wants to be fancy but isn't.
No shorts allowed in bars and restaurants but sweatpants were. Food was average, breakfast seemed store bought.
Staff was great, location also. Spa was also nice.
We had a stinky drain and there's no ac.
It has potential but it's not exploited probably.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Location is very good, but the furniture is very old and consumer the beds and mattress very bad not comfortable and it’s noisy place because it’s near the lake and in the center. The parking it’s has valet parking not included the price of the room booking.

Staff was phenomenal and so very helpful. Lake & property location was great. Brewery and cafe open/service times were limited and somewhat confusing. Our room was clean and beds were comfortable. No air conditioning, which we knew about, so we brought fans and were also supplied with fans but am uncertain if this is normal or our room just happened to have some fans left in it. Biggest issue was that the train runs directly next to the hotel and is quite loud since we needed to leave our doors and windows wide open at night in order to cool our room enough to sleep. We were able to get some sleep with 5 fans going, 2 noise machines and ear plugs. It’s a beautiful setting with great staff and clean rooms but if you’re a light sleeper who requires coolness to sleep, this might not be the best option for you.
