"Daniela was a fantastic and welcoming host. This historic, well appointed hotel will be a favorite memory and repeat visit. The food was delicious. The coffee and beds were some of the best I've had in Africa. Daniela and I had a great conversations and she arranged a prison island tour for us. It was my second trip to Stone Town and second tour. Last time it wasn't bad but this time it was a better experience. The pilot and your guide this time were far superior to the last prison island...

"The property was clean and well furnished. Staff were very attentive and accommodating of our needs. They truly made our experience enjoyable as they were very welcoming and bubbly! The back of the hotel is facing the sea which has a lovely view and the front of the hotel has a city view which provides the best of both however, there was a lot of traffic at the front making it difficult and unsafe to cross roads. "We were a bit sceptical about the resort at first due to previous reviews. However it was a great 10 day stay for us. The food was lovely, couldn’t get enough of the prawns. The room with the sea view was amazing. The staff were great, thank you Maria you made our stay very comfortable. If you need some where close to the airport and 5min away from Stone town then I recommend Zanzibar beach resort. "
