Fabulous location - on the beach and close to the wonderful village. Staff attentive and friendly - food excellent. Great vibe, really cool decor.

Het staat op een mooie plek, de pool is fijn met altijd voldoende strandbedjes en het personeel in de bar erg lief en aardig, het ontbijt is erg goed.
So far so good…
Maar de kamers: de verwachtingen waren hoog gespannen vanwege de prijs, foto’s, het zwembad en reviews uit het verleden. In eerste instantie werden wij geplaatst in een van de twee kamers met ‘garden view’ (wat alleen maar een groenstrook voor de achterpoort bleek te zijn), wat ons al verbaasde aangezien wij in de veronderstelling verkeerden dat alle kamers rondom het zwembad lagen.
Na 2 nachten gardenside konden we naar een kamer aan de pool. Daar bleek echter de airco kapot, het douchewater niet meer weg te lopen en een lamp te knipperen. Uiteindelijk laat op de avond dus toch maar weer terug naar onze oude kamer. Volgende ochtend alsnog naar een andere kamer aan de poolside. Hier bleek het matras zo oud en versleten dat het tijk was gescheurd, ingezakt met twee enorme kuilen, verre van relaxt. In plaats van een deur voor de badkamer/wc hangt er een krap gordijntje (privacy nul), vloeren zijn gescheurd, oude lekkages rondom wc hebben hun sporen achter gelaten, en het houten vlonder voor de douche is zwart uitgeslagen.
Het interieur is gemaakt met veel stijgerhout: kan heel leuk en hip zijn, maar is op een gegeven moment aan vervanging toe. 7 jaar geleden (toen was het gebouwd) zal t waarschijnlijk fantastisch zijn geweest, maar er is al jaren niets meer aan gedaan. Daardoor loopt het hard achteruit.

Lovely place to relax after climbing Kilimanjaro for eight days. Exactly what we needed. No shoes for eight days. Staff attentive and friendly. Very relaxed.only change would be a little more choice of food. Although what we had was good.
