Buyer beware! This was the worst experience I had with a hotel during my stay in Zanzibar. First, when we arrived they said that they did not have a reservation for us and that they did not have a room for us. I had paid in full before arriving. They were unwilling to give me a refund and were not willing to help solve the situation. They said that their agent who helps them book through expedia must be conning them and keeping the money. We told them that either they figure something out or we would be forced to go to the police. Mind you this is over a span of time longer than one hour. Eventually they said that they did have a room for us, but it was not the room we booked. We said fine, we just needed a place to stay. They put us in a tiny miserable room which barely had running water. Maybe that is why they refused to give us towels while we were there. We asked several times. Anyways, they eventually did let us move to the room I had booked. Unfortunately, that room had many issues as well. The door could barely open or close. The bathroom emitted a urine and feaces oder from either the toilet drain or the shower. It was hard to tell where it was coming from but it was overwhelming. The first time we turned on the shower it sprayed brown liquid out of the faucet. The shower also didn’t drain properly so if we were brave enough to shower we would be standing in at least an inch of tepid water. Air conditioner did not work, getting our room cleaned was nearly impossible.

Kind of experiencing Impossible things, this place is so dirty. Horrible staffs and service. Keep safe, keep away from this so called "Hotel and Turkish restaurant".
