5/5 Excellent
"It really was a wonderful experience. A typical hotel can not compete with this concept. It is a 40-60 minute drive from the airport depending on traffic. The welcome and send off were especially pleasant, cordial and heartfelt. Knowing how deceptive photos can be, I thought the privat pool might be a bit small and was prepared to use the main one. But it was in fact a very good size and swimming laps also worked well. It was very nice to be able to swim and enjoy the pool in silence as most hotels now seem to insist on music/noise pollution. The breakfast was quite memorable, food and service outstanding. The club beat music made it feel a bit rushed and downright stressful though.
Despite how nice everything was, there were a couple of „bumps“ along the way. The first evening there was turndown service at 7pm, well done. Then the next afternoon I waited for housekeeping to turn up. At around five pm, I turned on the green light shaped like a made. At around 8pm I gently enquired, to make sure at least the turndown service would be provided. Then, I got a call back saying that I had activated the DND (do not disturb) botton in red, which kept housekeeping from ringing the doorbell. This was however not true. It was a bit unpleasant to be accused of it, and then the next afternoon I was phoned, asking if it would be alright for housekeeping to enter, as if I were somehow difficult. This could have been handled better.
Still, a very enjoyable and rejuvenating getaway."
