Very modern hotel with nice finishes when you consider the very difficult road the materials had to be trucked up to the top of the hill. Only hotel right next to Vikos Gorge highest lookout. Manager made me dinner and breakfast at a time to suit my early departure.

Nice place to go to, but less prepared off season

Pros: Quality build, rooms easily and well heated. Nice fireplace and awesome views. Hospitable and friendly owner, despite that he worked the place alone.
Cons: Better quality shower cubicles, more variety at meals (esp. typical home-made local products like pies and cakes).
Location: Vradeto is a lovely tiny stone village. Very few amenities open only on a seasonal basis. Good base for hiking trips to the mountains and Vikos gorge.
A solidly built hotel in a lovely village providing all standard comforts, plus a magnificent view that does not belie its name. The owner was warm and very hospitable and, as we were at the time of our stay (3 nights), the only guests, we were made to feel like home. Unfortunately, due to our stay being during off season time for domestic tourism (following the Easter holidays and on weekdays before May day) the village was empty (the only other restaurant and its only cafe were shut). The hotel provided breakfast and dinner (we had lunch elsewhere), yet, while the food was plentiful and at very reasonable prices, the menu was, understandably, rather limited. In particular, it would have really nice to have tasted some of the home made local products (e.g. pies, sweets, etc.) that are so famous in those parts of Epirus. The accommodation was clean, well heated (it tends to be chilly even in April so high up the hills) and cosy, with a breathtaking view. It could be raised a few notches up, however, by getting a better-sealing shower cubicle and some nice absorbing mats in the bathroom. Nonetheless, all in all, it was a very pleasant experience.

We had a great day in Vradeto. The area is remote and beautiful. Our host Spiros went out of his way to make our stay welcoming and comfortable.

Το χωριο εχει ενα ξενοδοχειο και ενα ταβερνακι. Ιδανικο για μια 2ημερη αποδραση.
