We had the most incredible stay here while visiting Hakone. The location is ideal: a 2 min walk from the main train station and right on the river. Waking up to the sound/view of the river is just magical. The team working here is incredibly nice, hospitable and accommodating. We did the half board and the food was delicious and varied. We asked for our meals to be vegetarian and we were served the most beautiful kaiseki style spread in our room. A special thank you to Yuki who took care of us during our stay and made us feel welcome and comfortable. She went above & beyond to make sure everything related to our room and meals was nothing short of incredible. Would definitely come back here again without thinking twice.

I stay in a Western/Japanese style room for 3 person with private onsen, it is a big room, over all is great, service, location, food...only the bath room drainage, the drain is not very well.almost flooded in the middle of bathing.

We loved the traditional Japanese breakfast and the staff in charge of the 5th floor were amazing, especially the gentleman that would set up our room every afternoon. So polite and helpful. My kids loved that there is a little play room near the lobby

Hotel with Traditional Ryokan Feel & Amazing Onsen
Posted 23 Jul 2024 on HotelsOur stay in Hakone was amazing. Hotel Suimeisou room was like a traditional ryokan with a tatami mat room with separate toilet room and shower which we really liked. While we were out for dinner, they set up our room for sleeping. The private onsen on the balcony was heavenly! The next morning, the Japanese breakfast was delicious. The hotel was very close to the station with lots of shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.
