Great location, a (long) walk from the train station, clean, well-priced. Staff is very accomodating. The nicest place to stay in Yuanlin.

Overrated...Outdated...Overpriced...Stay Elewhere

Most if time reviews here on hotels.com are pretty accurate. Not here and I just wanted it to be known. Wife, son and I from America stayed here for one night and found it to be 2 star hotel and deserve a 5 rating, not the 8 it currently has. For the money you can get much better. Here are the reasons: THIS PLACE IS OLD. Carpets need to be cleaned, causes the rooms to smell of musty mold. Fixtures are outdated as are the mattresses etc... NOT QUIET. Make sure you request a room on an upper level because they host karaoke parties and it is LOUD! We had to call the front desk around 9pm and change rooms because ofcthe noise. We ended up changing rooms but the whole thing was a hassle. TERRILE LOCATION. Not really close to any train station or decent restaurants. The streets have limited sidewalks and you are dodging scooters and cars walking down the side of the road. FOOD IS NOT FRESH. Wife got sick after breakfast and I know it was due to the freshness of the food. Noticed they had a buffet spread the night before, that didn’t have much traffic and I would bet they just reheated the same food for the breakfast. No fresh noodle soup, omelette maker etc..reheated crap. PRICE WAS TOO HIGH. We stayed 2 nights in the New Tapiei area and for the same money stayed at a much nicer hotel that was a legit 4.5 star. Unless you have to stay in this area jump on a train and get somewhere else. Again, I am am American so my taste may be different but avoid this place.
