This is the second time of staying here, for the Christmas Market. We had a deluxe double room, which is in the quiet annexe behind the main building, and on the ground floor. It's close to the city centre, within a couple of minutes you're at the Minster. Lots of places to eat and drink very close by. Staff/owner friendly and helpful. Bottles of water in the room, and a lovely small bottle of Prosecco, as well as the usual tea and coffee and biscuits. Look forward to staying again next year.

A very pleasant one night stay.
Very helpful staff and nice bedroom .Good breakfast selection ,well presented and perfectly cooked. Look forward to another visit .

The people working here are fabulous. You can tell they like their job. Some sing softly while making breakfast and it was a joy to stay here.

The hotel was quaint with lots of character. The steps up to our room were interesting, and will be a topic of conversation for years to come. The host/owner(?) was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had everything we needed within walking distance of old York.
