A simple but lovely inn close to the beaches and right across the street from a local Enoden train station, which takes you to all the local spots in Kamakura including the famous temples and Kamakura station. The owner was a lovely, accomodating host and even gave me the recommendation to check out Hase-dera Temple, a gorgeous place that I probably would have missed had she not recommended it. Definitely a chill and affordable place to stay!

The shared bathroom are two onsens. The larger one is open for limited hours and the smaller ones are open 24/7. Both are private so guests can expect to have the onsen to themselves.

Our stay was extremely comfortable. We struggled a little with directions to the hotel (google maps with walking does not show the direction of travel, so we walked 5 minutes the opposite direction...). Still, the small hotel was only 5 minutes walk from Koshigoe station on the Enoshima Electric Railway (Enoden). The room was of nice size and very clean. It is Japanese style (tatami room), which are ultra comfortable (more so than traditional western-style beds). The location was really great. The highlight was the hotel restaurant. The owner of the hotel is a very gentle man who also works the "front" part of the restaurant. It was Italian cuisine with a nod to Japan. But quite authentic. Good value for the money, and a lot of fun eating there. The bathroom is shared, as is the bath. We made up the futons for sleeping, but this is not an expensive 5-star hotel, so no problem with that. Kudos to the owner.
