The owner of the hotel personally prepared breakfast each morning, which included bread, fresh coffee, and vegetables, all of which were cooked with great care and tasted delicious. We were also incredibly impressed with the owner's kindness and helpfulness, as they went out of their way to assist us with any needs we had. "Initially we toyed with idea of staying around the lake or staying in town? The Lahan Select is a beautiful comfortable hotel by the lake. It is not an expensive cab fare to town and other nearby attractions. Our room over looked the lake which was lovely and made our stay very peaceful. We struggled with the concept of having to pay a ridiculous fee to use the pool and for the exorbitant cost of a buffet breakfast (which we chose not too). However, the hotel does have another area within offering a selection of different food options set up like a food hall which was reasonably priced, very clean and a good selection of delicious food. It would have been great if was open for breakfast too. Staff speak little to know English but not a problem as they were very obliging and we still managed to get by. As a luxury hotel it would have been great if they ran a regular shuttle service for guests in an around town. Perhaps we have been spoiled as this is the norm with many hotels back home in Australia and the thought of having to pay to use a hotel pool is just absurd. Overall, a comfortable and peaceful stay and we look forward to staying again. Thank you! "

"This is such an amazing place and I wish I could have stayed here much longer. The unit I stayed in was beautiful, with a mix of traditional Korean hanok surroundings and modern furnishings, including a comfortable bed, mini fridge, microwave, and speaker. The place was immaculate and came with nice touches of comforts, including coffee, tea, water, and ramen. The hostess was incredibly helpful, even though we had to use some online tools to help translate. The location was right in the middle of the charming old area, with restaurants and stores hidden around every corner."

"The room was very nice. A corner king suite. It had a separate living room area with all the amenities like, a mini fridge and kitchen sink. The staff was especially nice and accommodating. I stayed one night and then rebooked a different room on accident the second night. They were very polite were able to upgrade me to the room I was staying in the first night, even though I booked non-refundable and through Amex."
