"AVOID. Difficult to know where to start. This apartment was mis-sold, as it is student accommodation (10 bedrooms per flat). Each guest has shared access to the common room, housing the kitchen and sofa. On check in (after a long on-line book in process (crashing server)), the common room was inhabited with other guests, who were cooking tea. The bins were overflowing and the place generally stank. "Booked this hotel as an overnight stop for its convenient location. However, it exceeded all our expectations Clean and quiet, helpful staff and the room was spacious and calm. Great night's rest in a comfortable bed with good pillows. Breakfast, in the morning was good quality and locally sourced. Quality balanced with ecology due to its carbon neutral operation. I will definitely be returning soon"

"Directly across the road from Exeter Central Station. Very friendly staff. A floor-standing fan in the room that was very welcome. A good selection of hot & cold food at the buffet breakfast. Luggage storage before and after check-in/out."

"Absolutely superb ! Like stepping on board the titanic! Fantastic decor. Staff! efficient polite very clean and tidy. Beautiful building inside. Outside building needs some renovation but ok . Huge spacious rooms with everything you need maybe a fridge be useful particularly when hot weather. But all things considered very good. Price very good for July no issues with that . Staff friendly and helpful. Don’t believe all reviews! Some people are too quick to pull a business down. For this hotel comments were about thread bear and tiered! Maybe a bit , but I love that used patina and for a building of its age it’s just character and a fabulous example of a standard from a bygone age . Thank goodness some people keep these hotels alive and kicking. 🙏"
