Posted 17 Mar 2022 on HotelsThoroughly enjoyed a recent 4 night's stay. Both Sarah and John are excellent hosts who make you feel extremely welcome and where nothing is too much trouble. Set in the heart of Dartmoor, my room (House Martin) looked over their privately owned woodland. A very good night's sleep is guaranteed. The breakfast and evening meals were exceptional and my only regret is that I didn't stay longer but I will most definitely be returning! Thank you both very much indeed.

It was lovely and John couldn't do enough to help us. If there was one thing we could mention to improve, it was to try to include vegan options for the main meal particularly as we had a very small plate of roasted veg for a main course and some mushrooms for starters which came in at £23.

Was on a cycling holiday and this was a perfect base.
John, Sarah and the rest of the staff were impeccable hosts, very friendly, top notch service and couldn't have done more to help.
A hearty breakfast to set me up each morning and a tasty meal at the end of the day (try the steak & horseradish pie - delicious!).
Hotel is set off the main road, by a river and close to the Bellever Tor, so plenty to explore.
Almost forgot, the room was clean with hot drink facilities available. Bed was comfortable too, I slept like a log.

Delightful location in a lush valley - very special. Gorgeous Postbridge nearby in the heart of the moor. Friendly service and peaceful sleeping. Excellent breakfast. I will be back.
