Was really looking forward to revisiting this grand hotel, but found that the room was in pretty poor shape. I'll acknowledge that we visited at end of season and that may be part of the reason things were in disrepair, but simple cleaning was missing and most importantly, the room's condition (carpets, walls, etc...) were sorely in need of attention. Would recommend stopping to see this once great property, but it is not worth the high cost to stay there.

This property is dated, so much so that they haven't really changed it since it was built in 1904. Bed was a folding junk bed frame and very uncomfortable. Room did not feal secure, door frame was broken, deadbolt didn't work, window locks did not work. Lights in room were dim, felt like were shoved in a closet in the basement. The room was worth maybe $50-80 a night not $440.
