I have travelled in Myanmar since 2006.
I booked this hotel for two nights for its location the China town. Four hrs after my checkin at sharp midnight, 3-4 Burmese young hooligans (two men and 1-2 women) came into my floor. They were extremely loud and yelling all over on the hallway and their room. The wall between me and them was a little thicker than paper and the whole building is wooden floored. I thought bandits came feeling so scared when they came to my floor.
One of them opened my door whilst I was just unlocking the door for going to the shared bathroom. I asked he what he wanted to do. He left. Half an hr later, another male hooligan attempted to use his key to open my door. I yelled him away.
I went downstairs to ask the receptionist to remind them it has been mid night. Shortly after the receptionist talked to them and left, they started yelling with hysteric voices again and laughing like insane while hitting furniture.
I began reaching out the Expedia online customer service, telling him all these. He was funny, asking me to waiting 72 hrs and told me that I could check out but the Expedia had no refund for me cuz I have checked in. Maybe, the Expedia people are able to know the mental status of their neighbors before they check in a hotel but most humans cannot.
The next morning, the hotel said they could issue me refund either cuz I booked thru the Expedia. What could I do? I escaped and will never travel with the Expedia again.

First Time in Yangon
Posted 14 Feb 2019 on HotelsValue for money, this hotel is hands down a winner.
Let me write the pros first:
- Inexpensive
- Buffet Breakfast
- Complete room amenities (w/ a Bidet as a huge plus)
- Unlimited Bottled Drinking water
- Location is superb (near chinatown, Sule Pagoda is walking distance, as well as Junction city mall in case you need to buy stuff)
- Convenience stores and fastfood restos are available.
- Strong water pressure w/ Available hot water.
- Service was warm and superb.
- WIFI coverage is strong and speed is decent.
And now, the Cons:
- Not the cleanest. Bathroom has a funny smell.
- Pillows can be better. Doesn’t give you proper support.
- No elevator. Not suitable for those w/ heavy luggage and those who have difficulty w/ stairs.
- Breakfast Buffet selection is limited and is repetitive. It gets boring eventually.
- A bit far from bus stop in case you take the bus from the airport (15min walk)
- Refrigerator has limited space since it doubles as a mini bar.

The staff was nice although not very proactive, there are some issues with cleanliness of the rooms. Decent choice for breakfast but the staff are not really topping up things. We were sitting there for 20 minutes with fruit plates empty.

We stayed in a double room with a shared bathroom for two nights. Although the shared bathroom was not very clean, the bedroom was clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were very friendly and helped us arrange bus travel to our next destination. The hotel is in a convenient location downtown within easy walking distance to many restaurants and activities.

How was Hotel Bond?
Posted 18 Jul 2017 on HotelsNo bathroom is big draw back. If your a back packer no big deal. You can hear music playing in lobby all night. I feel the staff are very polite and respectful. They do there best to accommodate . For the price it's worth it.
