Bugs on bedsheet
Posted 10 Aug 2023 on HotelsOne of our bed has several bugs, some crawling, some jumping (probably fleas) which is really scary….
We immediately called the front desk and they did help us swap the room but we already opened the luggage and settled down a little and that was already 10pm, they didn’t allow us to check out a bit later to compensate the time consumed because of this. And although we changed to another room, didn’t feel super comfy that night staying with the hotel, definitely will NOT come back again

Yanagawa stop.
Posted 14 Oct 2019 on HotelsConvenient to take the canal ride and easy to find on our bikes. Tired so we stayed in for dinner which was good. Only negative was 7th floor odor was very bad in the hallway. Like damp mold. Room was nice.

Good hotel right outside the Yanagawa Station
Posted 30 Sep 2018
Pros: comfortable beds, right next to the station, spacious rooms, new hotel
Cons: The hotel breakfast was free, which was nice but there weren't a lot of options. Good to get a cup of tea or coffee but don't expect anything exciting
Location: The mall is about 15mins walk from the hotel, where there's restaurants and shopping.
There were groups of tourist in the lobby when we got to the hotel but the check-in was really easy. The room was quite spacious and in good condition. Had a big window which provided enough lighting. The bus stop is just across from the hotel, but there's only one bus per hour, so good to know the time before you stand outside and wait. There's plenty of food near at the mall nearby, a good 15min walk but all worth it.
One of the downside was the check-out time was 10am, which is one of the earliest hotels I've been to... when we asked the receptionist whether our check-out could be delayed, they took out a calculator and it was something like 1450yen per hour to check out later. I think they could move the time to a bit later for people's convenience. They also give access to a "hot spring", but the scary part is the ladies door is password locked but the lock doesn't work, so anyone can just push in and there's not privacy. In Japan, everyone takes off all their clothes for the hot spring, so I really wouldn't go into there if the doors don't lock properly...
